Local customers find you, book you and pay through us. You keep your own diary, your own prices and your own customers. Here is how the arrangement works and how the money reaches you, before you fill anything in.
You set your own prices. The rate on your profile is what the customer pays — there is no booking fee added on top of it, and no charge to list.
The platform keeps a commission on each job. It comes out of the price rather than being added to it, so a customer sees one figure and you are paid the rest. Your own rate is agreed with you when you are taken on, and the rate in force when a job is booked is the rate that job settles at, whatever changes afterwards.
Anything you paid out to do the job and had approved — parking, a permit, materials bought for that visit — is passed back to you in full. No commission is charged on it.
A job is paid out once it is done and marked complete. There is nothing to invoice us for and nobody to chase.
Payouts go through Stripe, so setting up your payment details with them is the one thing you have to finish before money can reach you. After that it is automatic: the money leaves the platform when the job completes and usually reaches your bank about 2 banking days later. That last leg is Stripe's timing rather than ours, so your earnings page calls it an estimate and so do we.
Before you are asked to do the work, the customer's card is checked and the money for the job is held on it. A request reaching you means the payment behind it has already been secured.
Collecting from the customer is our job, not yours. You are never asked to invoice one, take payment at the door, or chase one who has gone quiet.
What the platform will not do is send on money it has not collected — you are paid out of the customer's payment, not out of the platform's own pocket. That is the whole reason the payment is secured before the work rather than asked for after it. On the rare job where something goes wrong with the money, a payout can be held until it is sorted out; you will be told when that happens, and sorting it out is ours.
Customers find you by searching their own address, so you are only shown to people in the area you told us you cover. Your prices, your services and your working hours are yours to change at any time.
You are asked before a job is yours. A request arrives with what the work is, when and where it is, and what it pays, and you accept or decline it. Declining costs you nothing — we ask for a line saying why, the customer is offered cover, and that is the end of it. If you would rather not be asked each time, jobs can go straight into your diary instead: tell us and we will set your account up that way.
Sign up, tell us what you do and where you work, and set your prices. An application is read by a person before it goes live.
You will also need to finish the Stripe setup that pays you. Until that is done an account can take bookings but not money — and nothing is lost by finishing it late: anything already done and owed goes out on its own as soon as the setup is complete.
We are not your employer. You are self-employed, you choose which work to take, you set your own prices and your own hours, and nothing here is a guarantee of work — how much comes your way depends on what customers near you are looking for.
We do not insure you and we are not a party to the work itself. Your cover is your own, and the job is between you and your customer; the platform handles finding, booking, paying and the record of what was agreed.
Applying takes a few minutes and commits you to nothing — you choose which work to take once you are on.
