Terms of Service

What Ta-done! is

Ta-done! is a marketplace that connects customers with independent local service providers (cleaning, gardening, handyman work, and similar). We facilitate the booking and payment — the service itself is carried out by the provider, who is not our employee.

Accounts

  • You must be 18 or over to create an account.
  • You're responsible for keeping your login details secure, and for anything done under your account.
  • Provider accounts require an application, and access to provider features is subject to our approval.

Bookings and payment

  • Providers on Ta-done! are independent and aren't exclusive to our platform — a time you select is a request, not a guarantee, until the provider confirms it.
  • Prices shown at booking are estimates based on the hours or units you select; the final charge reflects the actual time or quantity, confirmed by both parties.
  • Payment is authorised at booking and captured once the job is confirmed complete, via Stripe. We never store your full card details.
  • A platform commission is deducted from the provider's payout — this doesn't change what you pay as a customer.

Cancellations

Cancelling ahead of a booking may incur a fee depending on how much notice you give — the exact refund percentage and notice windows are shown to you before you confirm a cancellation. Providers who cancel a confirmed booking do not charge a fee, and the customer receives a full refund.

Disputes

If something goes wrong with a completed or cancelled booking, you can report it directly from the booking page. Our team reviews every report and may issue a partial or full refund where appropriate — we aim to respond within a few working days.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful.
  • Attempt to take a booking or payment outside the platform to avoid fees.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse another user or a member of our team.
  • Misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or the work carried out.

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

Liability

We connect customers and providers but are not a party to the service agreement between them. Providers are independent businesses responsible for the quality, safety, and legality of the work they carry out. We're not liable for loss or damage arising from a provider's work, beyond facilitating a resolution through our dispute process.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time — significant changes will be communicated by email or an in-app notice before they take effect.
